Ukraine's representative to the UN, Sergiy Kyslytsya, said that Putin and Hitler's regimes share the same toxic DNA, drawing parallels between Hitler's appeasement, which led to World War II, and Putin's attempts to appease from 2014 to 2022.

Almost a decade spent on appeasing Hitler led to a world war, and  attempts to appease Putin from 2014 to 2022  led to a full-scale war on the European continent. This was stated by Ukraine's permanent representative to the UN, Sergiy Kyslytsya, at a meeting of the UN Security Council on April 11, UNN reports

Even if the Putin and Hitler regimes are not identical twins, they share the same toxic DNA. Eighty years ago, almost a decade spent on appeasement led to a world war. Attempts to appease the new aggressor, which we saw from 2014 to 2022, led to a full-scale war on the European continent. The lessons of history must be learned

- said Kislitsa.

He wondered if the Security Council had existed during World War II, would its members have been sitting at the same table as the Ribbentrops when the Nazis were destroying European cities and sending thousands of people to the gas chambers? "And yet now we are sitting with the modern reincarnations of the Ribbentrops," Kyslytsia added.

Ukraine's Permanent  Representative to the United Nations, Serhiy Kyslytsya, said that since the beginning of this year, the Russian army has fired almost 1,000 missiles, about 2,800 "Shaheds"  and almost 7,000 guided aerial bombs at Ukraine.

In March, 80% of the heat supply was destroyed, but most of the occupiers' targets were civilians, not military.
