Ukrainian troops engage in 156 combat engagements in the frontline, the situation is the most intense in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove sectors - General Staff

Since the beginning of the day on December 4, 156 combat engagements took place in the frontline. The situation remained the hottest in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove directions. This is stated in the report of the General Staff as of 22.00 on 04.12.2024, UNN reports.

Over the last day, the enemy conducted 25 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine, dropping 29 drones and using 654 kamikaze drones to destroy them. It fired almost 4,000 times at the positions of our troops and populated areas,

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attacked five times near Vovchansk and Hlyboke. One firefight is still ongoing. Vetarine came under an air strike.

In the Kupyansk sector, the aggressor tried to advance to our positions near Kucherivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Pershotravneve, Zelenyi Hai and Lozova 15 times during the day. All enemy attacks were repelled by the Defense Forces. The occupiers' aviation also struck Dvorichna with CABs, while Lozova and Petropavlivka were attacked with NARs.

In the Liman sector, the enemy attacked 13 times in the areas of Hrekivka, Druzhelyubivka, Makiivka, Terny and Zarichne. Ukrainian troops stopped 11 enemy attempts to advance. Two firefights are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy conducted four offensives against Ukrainian troops' positions in the Toretsk area. Two of the attacks have already been repelled by Ukrainian troops, while others are ongoing. Konstantynivka was subjected to air strikes by Ukrainian drones.

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has tried to break into our defense 39 times in the Pokrovsk sector in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zhovte, Shevchenko, Pushkine and Novopustyanka. Our units repelled thirty-six attacks, and other battles are ongoing.

According to the information currently available, the occupants' losses in the sector amount to more than 300 people killed and wounded, and two armored combat vehicles, four vehicles were destroyed, and three cannons, one armored combat vehicle and one vehicle were damaged.

In the Kurakhove sector, the enemy attacked our positions 38 times. The enemy was most active in the area of Sontsivka, Berestky, Zorya, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhove, Dalne, Dachne, Romanivka, Yelizavetivka and Uspenivka, where Ukrainian troops repelled 31 attacks, seven of which are still ongoing. The village of Ulakly was hit by a KAB airstrike.

In the Vremivsk sector, our troops repelled ten enemy attacks near Zelene Pole, Novodarivka, Kostiantynopolske and Sukhy Yaliv, two more engagements are still ongoing.

At Gulyaypole and Orikhivsk directions, the enemy carried out air strikes on the areas of Gulyaypole and Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the enemy continues to try to drive our units from their positions - it launched two unsuccessful assaults over the last day.
