For the first time in history, Ukrainian soldiers joined the Toronto Soldiers' Day parade on August 18. Consul General of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko called it an important project and thanked the organizers for the opportunity to participate.

On Sunday, August 18, for the first time in history, Ukrainian soldiers took part in the Soldiers' Day parade in the Canadian capital, Toronto. This was stated by the Consul General of Ukraine in Toronto Oleh Nikolenko, reports UNN.

The Veterans Day Parade has been held in Toronto since 1921. It honors the men and women who serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. According to the Consul General, the invitation to Ukraine to participate this year is a confirmation of the strong friendship between the two countries.
