For the first time, Ukraine has used British Storm Shadow cruise missiles to strike Russian territory. Permission to use the missiles was granted in response to Russia's involvement of North Korean troops.

Ukraine has fired British Storm Shadow cruise missiles at Russian territory, Bloomberg reports, citing a source, UNN reports

As the publication notes, this is  the first time Storm Shadow has been used to strike at Russian territory. 

The strikes using Storm Shadow missiles were approved in response to Russia's deployment of North Korean troops to fight against Ukraine, a move that the UK government viewed as an escalation of the conflict.

On Tuesday, Russian pro-war telegram channels reported that Ukraine had allegedly attacked the Kursk region with British Storm Shadow missiles for the first time with the permission of the West.

The Times  also cited sources as saying that the ban on Ukraine's use of British Storm Shadow missileson Russian territory has probably been lifted.
