Ukraine is completing its third harvest during the full-scale war, having harvested 28.5 million tons of grain. At the same time, thanks to the Ukrainian sea corridor, which turns one year old, it was possible to export almost 44 million tons of grain, and exports in general reached pre-war levels, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on Friday, UNN reports.

"Ukraine is completing the third harvest during the full-scale war, with a total of 28.5 million tons of grain harvested: 21.7 million tons of wheat, 5.5 million tons of barley. This result is the hard daily work of tens of thousands of people and effective government programs to help our farmers," Shmyhal wrote on Telegram following the government meeting.

At the same time, he said, from the first day of its invasion, Russia did everything to block Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea.

"That is why one of the biggest victories for Ukraine last year was the opening of the Ukrainian sea corridor. More than 2,300 ships called at Ukraine's Black Sea ports this year. Cargo turnover reached more than 64 million tons. Almost 44 million tons of grain were exported from Ukraine," Shmyhal emphasized.

According to the Prime Minister, all this has had a positive impact on various sectors of our economy and the economy as a whole. "Ukrainian exporters increased physical sales of their goods by 35% in the first half of 2024. We have reached pre-war export levels," Shmyhal said.
