Harvest 2024: farmers harvested almost 32 million tons of new crop

Ukrainian farmers harvested 28.5 million tons of grain and 3.4 million tons of oilseeds. Wheat and barley have been threshed on 100% of the area, with Odesa region leading the way.

Ukraine's farmers have already harvested more than 31.9 million tons of new crop grains and oilseeds, with wheat and barley threshed on 100% of the area, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported, UNN reports.

"In total, Ukraine harvested 28.5 million tons of grain and more than 3.4 million tons of oilseeds," the statement said.

The new harvest, as indicated, was harvested on an area of over 7,945.8 thousand hectares, with a total harvest of 31 ,821.3 thousand tons:

  • wheat - threshed on an area of 4,846.1 thousand hectares - 100%, harvested 21.7 million tons;
  • barley - 1397.4 thou hectares were threshed - 100%, 5.5 mln tons harvested;
  • peas - threshed on an area of 207.6 thou hectares by 99%, harvested 458.5 thou tons.
  • Rapeseed - 1,227.6 thousand hectares threshed by 98%, 3.4 million tons of seeds harvested.

Agrarians in Odesa region are the leaders in grain harvesting, with 1075.7 thousand hectares threshed.

The highest yields were recorded in Khmelnytsky region at 65.5 c/ha.

Dnipropetrovs'k region has started harvesting soybeans, which have been threshed on 0.65 thou hectares with a yield of 15.2 c/ha. Farmers in Mykolaiv region have started harvesting sunflower.
