Ukraine is not excluding the issue of NATO membership from negotiations, despite the resistance of some countries. Zelensky emphasized the importance of security guarantees similar to NATO before joining the Alliance.

The issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO is not being removed from the negotiating table, despite the fact that there are countries that are against it. Kyiv believes that despite the fact that Ukraine's membership is not currently supported, the situation may change in the future. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a meeting with the heads of territorial communities of Chernihiv region, reports UNN.
"If it is difficult with NATO for the time being, because you know who does not support Ukraine's membership in NATO yet. But still, in any case, no one is removing this issue from the table or from the future, at least we are talking about the fact that even if no one wants to support it now, we will see what happens in the future," Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy noted that it is important for Ukraine to have guarantees that are similar to NATO membership.

"It is important that we have appropriate guarantees similar to NATO until we are in the union. This refers to the contingent and efforts of our partners on whom we can really count," Zelenskyy said.
The President noted that there are several countries with which the deployment of a fleet and aviation within the contingent is being discussed.
"The most difficult moment today is the land component of other partners on our land. We will still, I am sure, have one or another infrastructure to support Western armies at the end of the war, or maybe even in the middle... At the moment of the ceasefire. I think that after the ceasefire, it would be a very good reassurance for our people that everything will continue until the end of the war, until the agreement on the end of the war," Zelenskyy said.
