The SBU and NABU exposed a corruption scheme of two officials of the Logistics Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the procurement of aircraft parts. Through controlled intermediary companies, the state suffered UAH 27.3 million in losses.

Law enforcement officers exposed officials of the Armed Forces who "overpaid" UAH 27 million for the purchase of spare parts for combat aircraft, UNN reports citing the SBU.

SBU counterintelligence and NABU detectives exposed two officials of the Logistics Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for corruption.

According to the case, in 2022-2023, the defendants entered into contracts for the purchase of aircraft parts for Ukrainian combat aircraft, which caused losses to the Ukrainian budget of UAH 27.3 million.

According to the investigation, Defense Ministry officials purchased spare parts at an unreasonably high cost from a controlled intermediary company.

To win the tender, the suspects involved several other affiliated commercial entities, including those with foreign registration.

In this way, officials created the appearance of competition, under the guise of which they secured a contract with the "right" company.

According to the available data, the participants in the fraud laundered the "excess profit" through a network of controlled companies.

Based on the collected evidence, both officials were served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or position committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).

The issue of choosing a measure of restraint is being decided. The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The suspects face up to 6 years in prison.
