While speaking with journalists while sitting next to the Emir of Qatar, Trump confirmed that he had a "very good" meeting with Zelenskyy this morning.
"Look, Russia has to make a deal. Russia has lost a tremendous amount of people, as has Ukraine. Last month they lost 35,000 soldiers between them; that's every month. On average it's been 25,000 people, mostly soldiers, young, beautiful people, and it's crazy what's going on there," Trump stated.
"But we had a meeting, and we'll see… I spoke with President Putin on Sunday," he added.
Trump indicated that there is "a lot of animosity between the two leaders," and he will meet with Zelenskyy again later today.
