US President Donald Trump said China has agreed not to supply weapons to Iran, as reports spread that Beijing is considering transferring weapons, UNN reports with reference to AP.

Trump wrote on social media that China is "very happy that I am opening the Strait of Hormuz forever." He said, "They have agreed not to supply weapons to Iran." He seemed to imply that the two matters were related.
On Tuesday, the US president told an interviewer that Chinese President Xi Jinping denied sending weapons to Iran.

Spokespersons for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs have repeatedly denied in recent days that the country is providing Iran with any form of military support.
According to the US government, China has long supported Iran's ballistic missile program and provided it with dual-use industrial components that can be used to produce missiles.
