US President Donald Trump said on Monday that he had not spoken to Xi Jinping, but the Chinese leader wants the war with Iran to end. These comments came after CNN exclusively reported that, according to US intelligence, Beijing is preparing to supply weapons to Tehran, UNN reports with reference to CNN.
"We have a very good relationship with China," Trump told reporters at the White House. Xi Jinping "would like" the war to end, the president added.

CNN reported this weekend that, according to three sources familiar with the latest intelligence assessments, US intelligence indicates that China is preparing to supply Iran with new air defense systems within the next few weeks.
On Saturday, when asked by CNN about US intelligence and whether he had spoken to Xi Jinping on the matter, Trump said Beijing would face consequences if it sent weapons to Tehran. "If China does that, China will have big problems, okay?" he said.
Trump plans to visit China early next month.
