Ukrainian President Zelenskyy says all 10 Russian ballistic missiles fired at Kyiv were shot down and all victims have been provided with aid. Zelenskyy confirmed powerful new agreements to build up defense capabilities.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the nighttime attack on Kyiv by the Russian army with 10 ballistic missiles, saying that there will be a response to all this, and Ukraine is working to increase the number of air defense systems, UNN reports.

There were 10 ballistic missiles tonight. All of them were shot down! Thanks to our Air Force and partners. All victims are being provided with assistance. I thank the services that rescue, help and eliminate the consequences. We will continue to work to increase our defense capabilities. We already have new powerful agreements. We are working to accelerate the supply," Zelensky said on social media.

Zelensky said: "As soon as yesterday President Biden and I agreed to work on increasing the number of air defense systems in Ukraine, the terrorist country demonstrated how important this decision is."

According to him, "every additional air defense system is important, every batch of missiles for air defense systems is important." "It is important for people, it is important for cities and it is important for Ukraine. Because it saves lives!" - the President said.

"And Russia has once again confirmed its title of a shameful country that fires missiles at night, hitting residential areas, kindergartens and energy facilities in winter.

There will be a response to all this. We will!" - Zelensky emphasized.

As a reminder,

On the night of December 13, the Defense Forces destroyed all 10 missiles launched by Russian troops on a ballistic trajectory toward Kyiv in the sky over Ukraine.
