The government re-approved the new Customs Code and submitted it to the Council

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has re-approved the draft of the new Customs Code and submitted it for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada. The document is one of the key bills in the process of Ukraine's European integration. This was reported on July 27 by the Head of Government Serhiy Koretsky, as reported by UNN.

We are resuming a substantive dialogue with parliamentarians on the new draft Customs Code. Today, the Government re-approved this draft and submitted it to the Verkhovna Rada, as required by law 

– Koretsky stated.

According to him, the new version of the Customs Code should become an important step towards adapting Ukrainian legislation to European standards.

This is one of the key bills in the process of European integration. I count on effective and productive work on the document together with people's deputies on each of its provisions 

– the Head of the Cabinet emphasized.

Koretsky added that the new version of the Customs Code should ensure the transformation of the Ukrainian customs service into a modern security border of the European model.

Let us recall 

On May 28, 2026, the Government approved the draft Customs Code according to EU standards for accession to the union. It is expected that the new rules will simplify logistics and customs procedures for businesses.
