The government has provided condominiums and housing cooperatives with the opportunity to receive affordable loans of up to UAH 5 million at 7% per annum for up to 5 years to implement energy efficiency measures.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has enabled condominiums and housing cooperatives to receive loans under the program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" to implement energy efficiency measures, including the purchase and installation of generating units that produce electricity from alternative energy sources.

This was reported by the Permanent Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk, UNN reports.  

The Procedure for Providing Financial State Support to Business Entities has been amended. The Law allows condominiums and housing cooperatives to receive loans under the program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" for the implementation of energy efficiency measures, including the purchase and installation of generating units that produce electricity from alternative energy sources, electricity storage facilities and auxiliary equipment in the amount of up to UAH 5 million

According to him, the loan term is up to 5 years and the interest rate for condominiums and housing cooperatives is 7%.

In May 2024  , Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that the Energy Efficiency Fund had launched the GreenDom program, which will allow condominiums to receive compensation of up to UAH 1 million for the installation of solar power plants and up to UAH 2 million for the installation of heat pumps for heating.
