Fire due to enemy shelling in Sumy region extinguished - SES

On August 21, the border village of Sumy district came under shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation. Rescuers extinguished a fire in the residential sector and prevented it from spreading to neighboring buildings.

On August 21, Russian troops fired on a border village in Sumy district, causing a fire in the residential sector. UNN reports this with reference to the State Emergency Service. 

On August 21, one of the border settlements of Sumy district was attacked from the territory of the aggressor country. A fire broke out in the residential sector

- the SES said in a statement. 

The rescuers extinguished the fire and prevented the fire from spreading to the summer kitchen, which was located near the epicenter of the fire.

Over the past day, August 20, Russian troops fired 97 times at the border areas of Sumy region, 291 explosions were recorded. The attacks killed  one person, wounded two others, and damaged civilian infrastructure.
