The Czech Republic has contracted 180,000 rounds of ammunition for Ukraine and is working to contract another 300,000 rounds as part of its initiative to support Ukraine's defense efforts.

According to Fiala, the success of the Czech initiative to find shells for Ukraine is due to its "deceptive simplicity.
We are working to get another 300,000 shells and have already signed contracts for the first 180,000. They will be delivered to the Ukrainian front in the coming months
The Czech Prime Minister pointed out that about 20 countries have joined the initiative, mentioning only Denmark and the Netherlands.
According to Fiala, the Czech initiative also gives the West time to adjust to the new situation, in which "war is changing our world.

In total, the Czech Republic has identified more than a million pieces of artillery ammunition worldwide that can be purchased for Ukraine outside of Europe. Tomáš Pojár, the Czech Prime Minister's National Security Advisor, admitted that the ammunition purchased under the Czech initiative could arrive in Ukraine as early as June.
