"In conditions where drones dominate the battlefield, the very logic of conducting combat operations is changing. The concepts of the front line, rear, and depth of combat formations have been significantly transformed. Logistics and movement both on the battlefield and from the front line to the rear have become more complex," Syrskyi wrote on social media on Thursday.
In order to preserve the life and health of servicemen performing tasks both on the line of combat engagement and in the depth of defense, I signed an order regarding the mandatory rotation of servicemen performing tasks on the front line. Commanders must ensure conditions for servicemen to remain at positions for up to 2 months, followed by a mandatory replacement (rotation), which must be carried out within a period no later than one month. Rotations of our warriors must be planned in advance, taking into account the situation, the nature of combat operations, and available forces and assets
Also, according to him, the order defines mandatory requirements:
- undergoing a medical examination and providing rest time for servicemen who have completed combat missions;
- timely provision (replenishment of stocks) of ammunition and food for servicemen performing combat (special) tasks at positions.
"Compliance with the requirements of the order will be under strict control. For violations - inevitable responsibility in accordance with current legislation and the statutes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The order is mandatory for execution by all units performing combat missions on the front line," Syrskyi indicated.
Addendum
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that men of mobilization age who illegally left Ukraine during martial law should be under the attention of Ukrainian services and the authorities of the states where they are currently located. According to the Head of State, the issue of returning such citizens is important from the perspective of justice and the country's defense capability. The President emphasized that the Ukrainian army needs rotations, as servicemen who have been at the front for a long time are exhausted by constant combat loads.
