The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that he visited the southern front with the Commander-in-Chief of the Norwegian Armed Forces, UNN reports.
Together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Norway, General Eirik Kristoffersen, I visited military command bodies, as well as specific air assault and assault units performing combat missions to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the Southern Operational Zone,
The Kingdom of Norway, he noted, is one of Ukraine's most consistent and committed allies during the full-scale war for independence, particularly regarding the provision of military aid and the allocation of funds to strengthen the Defense Forces of Ukraine with air defense systems, UAVs, ammunition, and more.
"At the front, General Eirik Kristoffersen personally familiarized himself with the operational situation and how existing weapons are performing. We also discussed the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for weaponry, military equipment, and ammunition, as well as further strengthening cooperation both within the framework of bilateral cooperation and in broader formats," Syrskyi stated.
He expressed gratitude to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Norway, the government, and the entire Norwegian people for their steadfast support of Ukraine and Norway's multifaceted assistance.
"We continue to work toward bringing peace to Ukraine and strengthening the security of democratic Europe. Glory to Ukraine!" he emphasized.
