Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a phone conversation with Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister Anita Orbán. The parties discussed the security situation in the Black Sea and issues of national minorities.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha held a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Anita Orbán. The parties discussed the security situation in the Black Sea, international initiatives in the Carpathian region, issues of national minorities, and preparations for a meeting of the leaders of the two states. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

During the conversation, Andrii Sybiha informed his Hungarian counterpart about the ongoing Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, as well as about Russia's attempts to jeopardize global food security by blocking freedom of navigation in the Black Sea.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the parties discussed coordination of efforts by Ukraine, Hungary, and international partners to strengthen the security of maritime routes and protect global food security.
The interlocutors paid special attention to international initiatives aimed at developing interregional cooperation and the prosperity of the Carpathian region. In particular, the Carpathian Integration Initiative was discussed.
We also exchanged views on issues related to national minorities. In this context, I emphasized Ukraine's commitment to maintaining a constructive dialogue that will contribute to the further strengthening of Ukrainian-Hungarian relations.
