Brutal beating that led to the death of a woman: investigators serve notice of suspicion to 18-year-old Bukovyna resident

Police officers have informed a resident of Bukovyna about suspicion of intentionally inflicting bodily harm on a woman, which caused her death. This was reported in Telegram by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine, reports UNN.

The crime occurred on the night of April 5 to 6: a 27-year-old resident of Chernivtsi district was taken to the hospital with bodily injuries. The cause of her death was a closed intracranial injury, which is causally related to the infliction of bodily injuries.

Investigators have collected evidence of the involvement of an 18-year-old man in the commission of a crime under Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Intentional grievous bodily injury resulting in the death of the victim). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to ten years.

Currently, police investigators have prepared a petition to the court to select a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. The Chernivtsi District Prosecutor's Office is conducting the procedural management.
