A Lufthansa Boeing 747-8 flying between Ezeiza International Airport (Buenos Aires) and Frankfurt experienced severe turbulence while flying over the area between South America and Africa. The incident occurred on Monday at around 18:00 when the plane was at an altitude of 10,000 meters.
Lufthansa said that despite the turbulence, the safety of the plane itself was not in danger. “The safety of the flight was not at any point in jeopardy,” a company spokesperson emphasized. The airline expressed its regrets for the inconvenience caused.
