One person was killed and thousands were evacuated in southern Thailand due to flooding caused by three days of heavy rains.
The victim is a student in Narathiwat province, on the border with Malaysia, where more than 2,700 people have been forced to leave their homes, said Vasan Chaitawiwong, head of local prevention and assistance services.
According to the Thai Meteorological Department, a heavy rain warning remains in effect, and precipitation is forecast to continue in 70% of the province until early December.
