Shmyhal announced how much pensions increased due to indexation

In March, Ukraine conducted an indexation of pension payments by 11.5%. The average pension increased to 6345 hryvnias, and from April 1, a recalculation will be carried out for working pensioners.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal reported that the government has indexed pension payments. He added that the average pension now amounts to 6,345 hryvnias, reported UNN with reference to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
This month, as promised, pension payments were indexed. Pensions increased by 11.5% for more than 10 million Ukrainians. Thus, the average pension is 6345 hryvnias
According to him, all pensions for March have already been paid. The Prime Minister noted that the government of the country clearly fulfills its social obligations to the citizens of our state and will continue to do so.
From April 1, we will automatically index payments for almost 630,000 working pensioners in accordance with their updated insurance record

The first deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, Iryna Konstankevych, reported that the situation with pension provision in Ukraine is very difficult.
Without revising who receives what pensions and how to change this system, the country will not be able to continue to provide stable pension payments.
In July 2024, it was reported that in Ukraine the accumulative pension system is not yet ready for implementation, as it is necessary to ensure clear legislation and development of the stock market.
The Ministry of Social Policy plans to launch an accumulative pension system from 2026. Currently, legislation and an IT system for the state accumulative fund are being developed.
