The State Bureau of Investigation has completed the investigation into the helicopter crash in Brovary, which killed the Interior Ministry leadership, the SBI press service said on Monday, UNN reports.
SBI officials have completed the investigation into the helicopter crash on January 18, 2023 in Brovary. The case file is open for review by suspects and their defense lawyers, as well as victims and their legal representatives. After reviewing the materials, they will be submitted to the court
Details
In August, investigators reported that five officials of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were suspected of violating flight safety rules for a helicopter carrying the Interior Ministry leadership and accompanying persons.
The investigation found that the officials had committed blatant violations of traffic safety and air transport operation rules, which led to the deaths of people.
SBI investigators reconstructed the day of the crash minute by minute, including decoding the black boxes.
Foreign experts were involved in the investigation, including representatives of the French company that manufactured the helicopter.

In addition to the high-ranking Interior Ministry officials and their attendants, four women and a young child who had just come to the kindergarten died in the crash. 31 people, including 13 children, sustained injuries of varying severity.
