The Russian occupation authorities are increasing the number of barges near the Kerch Bridge to protect it. A floating crane has appeared in the strait, and a second line of 21 barges has been installed.

The occupation administration of Crimea continues to strengthen the defense of the Crimean bridge - new fortifications are currently being built near it. This was reported by UNN with reference to Krym.Realii.

The publication said that a floating crane had appeared in the waters of the Kerch Strait.

It is noted that the occupiers have increased the number of barges with which the Russians are trying to cover the bridge from Ukrainian naval drones. 

Krym.Realii also points out that Brady Afrik, an analyst at the American Enterprise Institute's Foreign and Defense Policy Research Department, citing satellite images, said that the Russian authorities continue to increase the number of barges near the Kerch Bridge to protect it.

In addition, according to the newspaper, in late June it became known that the Russians installed a second line of 21 barges of booms near the Kerch Bridge. They have also been installing additional structures near the base of the Kerch Bridge for several months.
