Russian special services set fire to Ukrzaliznytsia facilities near the border: sabotage group detained

In Chernihiv region, a group of 4 people who were setting fire to railway equipment ordered by Russian special services was neutralized. The saboteurs were trying to disrupt the transportation of troops and equipment to the front.
The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police, neutralized a sabotage group in Chernihiv region that tried to destroy Ukrzaliznytsia facilities in the border area on the orders of Russian special services. This was reported by the press service of the SBU, UNN reports .
According to reports, the racists hoped to disrupt the transportation of personnel, equipment and ammunition to the front line by setting fire to relay cabinets and signaling installations,
Details
The sabotage group consisted of four residents of Odesa and Chernihiv regions. The defendants were looking for "easy money" in Telegram channels, where they were subsequently recruited by the Russian special service.
To fulfill the enemy's task, the saboteurs first reconnoitered the locations of railway power equipment and then photographed them to "coordinate" the targets with the occupiers.
After receiving a command from their supervisor, the defendants set fires with a flammable mixture. In this way, they tried to destroy four relay cabinets. After the objects caught fire, the defendants filmed it on video, recording the date, time and place of the sabotage.
SBU officers detained the saboteurs in hot pursuit. Mobile phones used in subversive activities in favor of the aggressor country were seized from the detainees.
SBU investigators have served them suspicion notices under Part 2 Article 28 and Part 2 Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (sabotage committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons under martial law). The detainees are in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
