Russian propaganda spread a fake story about a hantavirus outbreak and losses in the Ukrainian army. Official sources refute these claims due to a lack of evidence.

Russian state agencies TASS and RIA Novosti have spread false information about an alleged mass outbreak of hantavirus among Ukrainian military personnel in the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Lviv regions. There is no evidence to support these claims. This was reported by Russian propaganda media, according to UNN.
