During the briefing, US Department of Defense spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said that the Pentagon supports the White House's assessment of North Korean military losses in the fighting against Ukraine in the Kursk region of Russia.

It is estimated that about 1,000 DPRK soldiers were killed or wounded in the fighting. 

The ministry notes that North Korean attacks in the region are ineffective, while casualties among their troops remain high.
