Austin also recognized Romania's position as an anchor of stability on NATO's eastern flank and thanked Bucharest for continuing to host U.S. and allied forces
They also discussed further coordination of military assistance to Ukraine through the Ukraine Defense Contact Group and future bilateral meetings.
