Shehbaz Sharif announced that a final peace agreement has been reached between the US and Iran. Pakistan continues its mediation to complete the next steps.
Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated on Friday that a "final, agreed-upon text of a peace deal" has been reached between the United States and Iran, and that Pakistan is now working with both sides to finalize the next steps, UNN reports with reference to the AP.
"Peace has never been as close as it is now," he added.
In a post on X, Sharif stated that Pakistan is engaged in "continuous intensive mediation efforts" and accused unnamed actors of spreading "incessant disinformation" aimed at undermining the process.
