"Today, August 6, on the 11th day of the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris, representatives of the Ukrainian national team will compete in 4 sports," the NOC reported.

Results of the competition day on August 5

On the tenth day of the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris, representatives of the Ukrainian national team competed in 6 sports. Illia Kovtun added one medal to Ukraine's medal treasury - a silver.

Artistic Gymnastics

Illia Kovtun climbed the Olympic podium for the first time in his career, becoming a silver medalist in parallel bars (his score was 15.500).

Oleh Verniaiev finished eighth in this final (13.300).

Shooting (25m rapid fire pistol)

Pavlo Korostylov took fifth place in the final.

Diving (10m platform)

Sofiya Lyskun showed the 25th result (253.10) and could not qualify for the semifinals, where 18 athletes advanced.

Athletics

In the 400m hurdles, Anna Ryzhykova finished second with a time of 54.95s in her repechage heat and advanced to the semifinals. Viktoriia Tkachuk, who finished seventh in her repechage heat (59.40s), ended her competition.

Oleksandr Pohorilko did not qualify for the semifinals, taking third place in his repechage heat in the 400m with a time of 45.59s.

Wrestling (weight category up to 68 kg)

Tetiana Sova-Rizhko lost to Nisha Nisha from India in the 1/8 final - 4:6, and not getting a chance for a repechage match due to her opponent's subsequent defeat, she ended her performances at the Games.

Canoe Slalom (Kayak Cross)

The only representative of Ukraine in canoe slalom, Viktoriia Us, in the last of the three disciplines - kayak cross - stopped at the quarterfinal stage, taking third place in her heat.

"In the medal standings, with seven awards (2 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze), Ukraine ranks 18th," the NOC reported.
