Occupiers cancel May 9 parade in Zaporizhzhia region due to "threat of Ukrainian drones"

Gauleiter Yevhen Balytskyi has canceled the parade and march in the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region due to the "threat from Ukrainian drones". Residents were only offered the opportunity to lay flowers.

The head of the occupation "administration" of the Zaporizhzhia region, Yevhen Balytskyi, has canceled this year's "Immortal Regiment" and the "Victory Parade" on May 9 in the region. He wrote about this on social media, UNN reports.

As the gauleiter noted, the reason is the "threat from Ukrainian drones."
"In order to ensure security, mass festive events on May 9 in the Zaporizhzhia region will be restricted. We will not hold a victory parade or the mass 'Immortal Regiment' march,"
Instead, he suggested that residents of the occupied part of the region lay flowers at graves and congratulate veterans.
"Even under conditions of temporary restrictions, nothing will prevent us from celebrating Victory Day - the main holiday of our lives,"

Earlier, UNN reported that in Moscow, during the Victory Day celebrations on May 9, mobile internet will be disabled, including websites that are supposed to be available via a "white list."
Even earlier, the head of the Russian occupation administration in the Zaporizhzhia region, Yevhen Balytskyi, was sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment.
