Russians carried out more than 800 cyberattacks on Ukrainian government agencies and services, targeting energy infrastructure and telecommunications systems to destabilize Ukrainian society.
Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin met in Kyiv with his colleagues from the U.S. Department of Justice, Nathan Brooks and Tim Rank, as well as with Jared Kimball, Legal Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, and Chris Geiger, FBI Legal Attaché. They discussed strategies for investigating Russian cybercrimes committed against Ukraine and partner countries. Kostin reported this in the social network X, UNN reports.
The scale of Russia's cyber operations against Ukraine is steadily increasing. More than 800 attempted cyberattacks on government agencies and services have been recorded. Among them are energy infrastructure facilities, which are constantly under the enemy's sights.

The Prosecutor General told the partners that the enemy regularly conducts information operations to destabilize Ukrainian society. Russian hackers also periodically attack telecommunications systems to deprive citizens of access to mobile communications and the Internet.
Kostin emphasized that an effective and comprehensive investigation of these crimes requires the implementation of best practices and methods to bring the perpetrators to justice. He added that the experience and support of American colleagues in these matters would be very valuable.
In addition to investigating the crimes themselves, the parties discussed strengthening cooperation in the field of intellectual property protection and the fight against organized crime in cyberspace.
