Le Pen said that the execution of her sentence, which includes wearing an electronic bracelet, will be suspended until an appeal is filed with the Court of Cassation, France's highest judicial authority.
"I have the opportunity to appeal to the Court of Cassation... and that will suspend the effect of the decision. So I will campaign without an electronic bracelet," she said.

A French appeals court upheld the guilty verdict against Marine Le Pen but opened the possibility for her to run in next year's presidential election if she wears an electronic monitoring bracelet.
