Iran's ambassador to Kuwait was summoned to the government over the attack on the tanker "Kifan" in the Strait of Hormuz, which resulted in injuries to crew members. Kuwait condemned Iran's "unjust" attacks amid the US-Iran war.
On Tuesday, Iran's ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Tutunchi, was officially summoned to the Kuwaiti government following an attack on a vessel and injuries to crew members, reports UNN citing CNN.
"(Tutunchi) received a protest memorandum after Iran attacked the Kuwaiti tanker 'Kifan' on Monday evening while it was crossing the Strait of Hormuz. As a result, several crew members were injured," the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said in a message in Arabic on X.
The statement also said that during the meeting with Tutunchi, Kuwait's Deputy Foreign Minister Hamad Suleiman Mashaan al-Mashaan condemned the "unjust" Iranian attacks on the country since the start of the US-Iran war in late February.
