Key Asian Defense Conference Kicks Off in Singapore

The Shangri-La Dialogue on Asian security has commenced in Singapore. Vietnamese President To Lam and U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth are scheduled to address the forum.
The Shangri-La Dialogue, one of the most important annual security and defense conferences in the Asia-Pacific region, began in Singapore on May 29. This was reported by Yle, according to UNN.

The three-day forum will bring together heads of state, government officials, military commanders, and experts from many countries around the world to discuss current challenges to regional and global security. Special attention will be paid to the situation in the Indo-Pacific region and issues of international stability.
The keynote speaker on the first day of the conference will be the President of Vietnam, To Lam. He is expected to outline Hanoi's vision regarding the security situation in the region and the development of international cooperation.
On Saturday, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth will speak at the Shangri-La Dialogue. His speech is expected to focus on American security policy in Asia and relations with key partners in the region.
