Rapper Kanye West has traveled to Tokyo following disputes with Kim Kardashian over their daughter North's music collaboration with Playboi Carti. West criticized Carti and stated that the man has the final say regarding the children.
Kanye West arrived in Tokyo last week after several days of social media disputes with his ex-wife, 44-year-old Kim Kardashian, over raising their shared child, UNN writes, citing Dailymail.
West's comments to his ex-wife were a reaction to a planned musical collaboration between his 11-year-old daughter North and rapper Playboi Carti, which the artist opposes. West criticized Playboy Carti for not collaborating with him during recent controversies, while Kanye included him on his 2024 hit single CARNIVAL.
"So a white woman controls the name and image of my black children, and then talks to Carti about having my daughter sing a song with him," West wrote on his social media.
"I decided that North will not perform any song with Carti," West said. "How does it look when I'm not involved in the album, and then he asks Kim to get vocals from my daughter," he added.
As an argument, West stated that "a man has the first and last word regarding his children."
Playboi Carti, in turn, refused to provide any comments regarding the dispute that arose between the former couple.
West has found new enemies after a series of tweets targeted Beyoncé and Jay-Z's family, as the latter commented on the situation that occurred, saying, "people pay the price for foolishness, especially in the music industry."
"I hope Kanye gets the mental health help he needs," Jay-Z added.
Insiders told the publication that West may be in an unstable mood in Los Angeles, but feels calm when he comes to Tokyo. That is why the rapper, they say, decided to change the environment for a while.
