The Israeli Defense Forces said late on Tuesday that Hezbollah leader Fouad Shukr was killed during an attack on Beirut in Lebanon. This was reported by Reuters, according to UNN.

This has not been independently confirmed. Anonymous sources in Hezbollah had earlier told AFP that Sukar had survived the attack.
Fuad Shukr was the “right-hand man” of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrullah, as well as an adviser on planning and managing military operations.
“The IDF announces that in a precision strike based on intelligence, Israeli fighter jets eliminated the top commander and head of the strategic unit of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, Fuad Shukr or Seyyed Mohsen, in the Beirut area,” the Israeli army said in a statement.
