Iran's new supreme leader has declared his determination to avenge his father and change the management of the strait. Iran demands compensation for war damages.
Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has stated that Iran remains determined to "avenge" his slain father and all those killed in the war, according to a new statement attributed to him after the ceasefire announcement, UNN reports with reference to CNN.

Khamenei also stated that Iran would take the management of the Strait of Hormuz "to a new stage."
He urged Iran's southern neighbors – the Arab states along the Persian Gulf – to be suspicious of "the devils' false promises," adding that his country still awaits their "proper response" to show them its goodwill and brotherhood.
He added that Iran does not seek war but will not abandon its rights, "and in this regard, we consider the entire Resistance Front as a single entity."
"We will certainly demand compensation for every damage inflicted, as well as reparations for the martyrs and compensation for the wounded in this war," the statement attributed to Khamenei reads.
