Hours before the US strikes, Trump, the publication writes, "appeared to threaten Oman," a country with which the US has long-standing military and economic ties.
"Nobody is going to control the [strait]," he said.
"These are international waters, and Oman will behave just like everyone else, or we'll have to blow them up. They understand that, they'll be fine," he added.
