In Volyn region, an unknown person shot a huntsman and killed his wife: the man was detained

Law enforcement officers promptly detained a 43-year-old resident of Lutsk, suspected of killing the huntsman's wife and wounding the huntsman himself during an incident of illegal hunting. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
In the Volyn region, an unknown person during a conflict over illegal hunting fired several times from a firearm at a ranger and his wife, killing the woman and wounding the man, the suspect was detained, UNN writes with reference to the GUNP in the region.

The incident occurred on Saturday, March 29, in Gorokhivshchyna.
As law enforcement officers found out, the ranger received a report about illegal hunting.
"Having left for the indicated place, the man found an offender on a motorcycle. When he decided to approach him, the attacker fired several shots from a firearm and wounded the ranger. And later - he shot in the direction of the forestry worker's wife, who got out of the car," the police said.
The woman died in an ambulance from her injuries.
In this case, investigators have launched criminal proceedings under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In a few hours, the police found that a 43-year-old resident of Lutsk may be involved in the crime. The man was found and detained.
The issue of declaring him a suspect and choosing a preventive measure is currently being resolved. He faces up to 15 years of imprisonment for what he has done.
