In the Lviv district, law enforcement officers detained a man who, during a conflict, fired a hunting rifle at his opponent's car. As a result of the incident, no one was injured, but the vehicle sustained damage. This was reported by the police of the Lviv region, according to UNN.

The incident took place in one of the villages of the Lviv district. As established by law enforcement, a verbal conflict arose between a 40-year-old local resident and a 47-year-old resident of a neighboring village, which escalated into a fight. Following this, the younger participant took a hunting rifle and fired at an Audi Q5 belonging to his opponent. No one was injured in the incident; the vehicle sustained technical damage,

According to available data, criminal police operatives, investigators, and officers from other services of Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Administration worked at the scene. Law enforcement officers detained the man in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the weapon used in the shooting was seized and sent for expert examination.

"Investigators of the territorial police unit, under the procedural guidance of the Zhovkva District Prosecutor's Office, notified the detainee of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment — imprisonment for a term of three to seven years," the post states.

Currently, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being decided.
