Rescuers have completed the cleanup following Russia’s August 9 strike on a residential building in Kharkiv’s Saltivskyi district. They cleared the rubble and removed more than 105 tonnes of construction debris.

The cleanup operations following Russia’s August 9 strike on a residential building in Kharkiv’s Saltivskyi district have been completed. The State Emergency Service reports, UNN informs.

Details

It is noted that personnel and equipment from the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region and the Donetsk-Luhansk Mobile Rescue Center for Rapid Response of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were involved.

Rescuers cleared the debris, while high-altitude workers dismantled the building’s destroyed and damaged structures. In total, more than 105 tons of construction waste were removed

On August 9, a Russian missile struck a 10-story residential building, causing the collapse of the floor structure between the 7th and 10th floors and sparking a fire. Two people were killed and another 37 were injured, including one child.
