The court has arrested the suspect in the murder and rape of a child in Dnipro. The previously convicted man will be held in custody without the right to bail.

In Dnipro, a suspect in the rape and murder of an 11-year-old boy has been remanded in custody as a preventive measure. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.
At the request of the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, Valeriy Prykhojanov, the court ordered a 40-year-old suspect in the rape and murder of an 11-year-old boy to be held in custody without the possibility of bail
His actions have been qualified as intentional murder of a young child combined with rape, committed by a person who had previously committed intentional murder, as well as the commission of sexual acts.
On May 27, in an abandoned building, the suspect struck the boy in the face with his fist to prevent the child from resisting. When the child fell, he tied his hands, raped the boy, and strangled him by placing a plastic bag over his head.
Preliminary findings indicate that the child was barely acquainted with the suspect—they had spoken a few times previously.
The suspect had already been convicted of similar crimes. Specifically, in 2010, a court found him guilty under Part 3 of Art. 15, paragraphs 2, 9, 13 of Part 2 of Art. 115, Part 4 of Art. 152, and Part 3 of Art. 153 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
