The Israel Defense Forces carried out airstrikes on Gaza, killing the deputy commander of one of the brigades, Ahmad Salman, and the commander of the "Shajaya" battalion, Jamil Omar. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the IDF.

It is noted that in the past few days, the Israeli military has struck Gaza to "weaken Hamas' military capabilities and eliminate the threats they pose to Israel."
During these strikes, the IDF and ISA eliminated the deputy commander of the Hamas brigade in Gaza, the terrorist Ahmad Salman Awad Shiimali. Shiimali was responsible for operations, planning offensive strategy and creating brigade forces to prepare for the brutal massacre by Hamas on October 7
In addition, the commander of the Hamas battalion "Shajaya" Jamil Omar Jamil Wadia was killed in an airstrike. He commanded the battalion, replacing the terrorist Wessam Farhat, who was eliminated in December 2023.
"The IDF and ISA will continue to act against the Hamas terrorist organizations to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel," the press service added.
