Halushchenko: We can exist without gas transit from Russia

Ukraine does not plan to extend the Russian gas transit contract and can exist without it, as confirmed by the Ukrainian Energy Minister and the EU Energy Commissioner.
Ukraine has no plans to extend the Russian gas transit contract - no additional agreements or prolongations. The EU Energy Commissioner supports this position. This was announced by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko during a telethon, UNN reports .

According to Glushchenko, the government has no plans to sign any additional agreements or extend the Russian gas transit agreement. This position is supported by European Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson.
This position was voiced by the EU Commissioner for Energy. She said very clearly that Europe is not interested in continuing gas transit from Russia. We are moving in this direction.
