The German Foreign Ministry urged Iran to abandon its nuclear program and open the Strait of Hormuz. The parties discussed a peaceful settlement of the crisis in the East.

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, in which he called for the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz. He wrote about this on the social network X, UNN reports.

It is noted that the ministers held the conversation on Sunday, May 3. During the call, Wadephul emphasized that he supports a negotiated solution to the crisis in the Middle East.
