The State Register of Georgia has canceled the registration of a pro-Russian party due to numerous violations related to its registration in 2021, making it impossible for it to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
In Georgia, the public registry canceled the registration of the pro-Russian party Conservative Movement / Alt-Info. The relevant decision has already been published in the database, UNN reports with reference to Novosti Georgia.

It is currently known that the decision was made on the basis of an appeal from the Anti-Corruption Bureau, which requested to study the legality of the party's registration in 2021.
According to a document on the registry's website, a number of violations related to party registration were found.

According to the minutes of the Congress, Georgiy Kardav was elected as the general secretary of the political union of citizens (chairman), but he did not sign the application;
The charter submitted for registration was signed only by the chairman of the Congress;
The list of members of the political association of citizens submitted for registration did not contain information on the ID numbers of the members;
In the charter and documents submitted for registration, the name of the political association of citizens was not uniformly indicated;
The sketch of the emblem submitted for registration did not correspond to the description specified in the Charter of the political association of citizens;
According to the Statute submitted for registration, the Congress of Party Members was not defined as a governing body;
The charter submitted for registration did not provide for the use of the party's property.

Recently, the party filed an application with the Central Election Commission of Georgia to participate in the October parliamentary elections. The submitted more than 50 thousand signatures were accepted for verification.
"They couldn't find fault with anything, the head of the CEC was supposed to sign a permit for our party to register for the elections today... and at that moment we received information that the public register had canceled the party," said one of the movement's leaders, Zurab Maharadze.
