The French Parliament has passed a decision to ban social media for children under 15 starting September 1. This was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron on social media platform X, reports UNN.

As indicated on the website of the French National Assembly, the bill also provides for a ban on the use of mobile phones in senior high school classes. Exceptions are made for online encyclopedias, educational and scientific resources.
