153 combat engagements in a day - the enemy massively used aviation and over 9,000 drones, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
Over the past day, 153 combat engagements were recorded at the front, with Russian troops actively using aviation, guided bombs, and drones. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of April 19, writes UNN.
Details
During the day, the enemy carried out 68 air strikes and dropped 216 guided aerial bombs. They also used 9360 kamikaze drones and conducted 3404 shellings of Ukrainian troop positions and settlements, including 60 from MLRS.
In response, the Defense Forces struck nine areas of concentration of enemy personnel and equipment.
Hottest directions
The highest activity of the occupiers was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction – 28 assaults, and in the Kostiantynivka direction – 19 attacks.

Intense combat operations continued in the Huliaipole direction, where the enemy carried out 12 attacks, and in the Lyman direction – seven attempts to break through.
Other front sectors
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Armed Forces four times, and in the Kramatorsk direction – also four attacks. In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian servicemen repelled three assaults.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy tried to break through the defense three times, and in the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions – carried out two assaults and 84 shellings.
South and North
Seven attacks were recorded in the Oleksandrivka direction, and three unsuccessful assaults towards the Antonivskyi Bridge in the Prydniprovskyi direction.
There were no active combat operations in the Orikhiv direction. No signs of the formation of offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
The Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy's offensive and inflict losses on them.
